Bue Train

I would say that blue is the new black for me but then I would have to smack myself in my own face.   I really hate when people say that anything is the new black.  Black is the only black!  Black will always be the penultimate besides glitter in my book.  If given one color to wear for the rest of my life I would easily choose black...however blue is kindasorta rocking my world right now.  Especially this royal blue.  Throw some peplum on it and it's borderline heaven in my opinion.

Wearing: Dress: Red Stripes Boutique (on sale!).  Jacket: Lilly via: JYJZ SF.  Bag: H&M.  Shoes: Jessica Simpson

This dress was actually accidentally sent to me, but as soon as I saw it, I had to go ahead and snap it up as well.  Funny how that kind of thing happens.  It was just meant to be.  We are about to get our early Spring rain here in San Francisco, so, I wanted to hurry up and get this ensemble in the rotation.  I am so ready to jump head first into my pastels, brights, neons, neutrals, and whites for the next season, however, I don't think my coworkers are quite ready for all that sparklegemawesomeness yet.  I figured I would start easing them into things by toning down this statement dress with my newly acquired neutrals.

Speaking of newly acquired neutrals...I have a teeny secret to tell you.  I don't have a bag that I carry to work. I have a freaking Trader Joes bag that I haul my computer back and forth on MUNI with.  I don't know why I never upgraded from a rucksack but a lot of it has to do with the fact that I have always been worried I will actually have to use my box cutter on someone and get into hand-to-hand combat over my MacBook Air.  Anyway, that all changed this weekend when I was shopping and saw this never-full at H&M, and for less than $40, I got a grown up bag.  Hooray for me for finally upgrading like a real lady.
