Aint No Party Like A Poshmark Party.

Hey Girl!  Heeeyyyy.  Oh friends, I am just so excited today.  Wanna know why?  After weeks of being on the road and spreading the good word about Poshmark around the U.S., My friends are heading back to San Francisco, and myself, along with some other Bay Area bloggers are ready to welcome them back with open arms and closets.  Most of you know what a bighugefan of Poshmark I am because I have talked about it, here, and pretty much every outfit post I have done over the past four months has featured a great item that I have scored from them.

In fact, I was chatting with one of my bloggerbuddies on Thursday and confessed that I have not actually gone to a store and purchased one stitch of clothing since October, however I have at least one new item in my closet every week.  You see, everything that I have added to my wardrobe since November has solely come from Poshmark.  That's because, as you list items and sell them, in the Poshmark app, you have the option to either take a PayPal payout or gain Posh credits through the app.  I choose to just use the credits and grab all the goodies I can find in the app.  Here are some of the things I have scored:

Clockwise: Ann Taylor cuff.  Old Navy chambray.  Kate Spade cocktail ring.  Carrie Bradshaw style dress.

Clockwise: Gold & Citrus dagger earrings.  Vintage fur jacket.  Snakeprint strappy sandals.  Blue Vanilla chain and dagger necklace & earring set.

Clockwise: J Crew Shirt.  Asos skirt.  Roberto Rodriguez cashmere and sequin sweater.  F21 Lace top

This Wednesday, February 29, from 6-9pm we are hosting a Party Dresses Posh Party.  I will be giving you a preview on Monday of some of the dresses I will be listing. Trust me on this one,  all my BloggerBFF's will be in attendance, and I know those girls can dress!  You will be remiss if you are not in the app this Wednesday.  If you are in the SF area and would like to join us IRL, here are the details.  I will obvi be there glitterbombing people.
See you in the app.

What Is Making You Smile Thursday

Oh, hey y'all.  It's my favorite day of the week, AKA, What Is Making You Smile Thursday.  This Thursday is going to be extra special, because today I am making a big confession, because what is making me smile on Thursday's lately is a little embarrassing, but not overly.  Y'all, my name is Angie and I am addicted to watching "Swamp People".  Honestly, this should come as no surprise to any of you, considering I come from here:
And my two heros are this guy:

and this chick:

I mean, hell, I have an uncle that hunts for gators in the lake behind his house! (My Aunt is going to kill me for telling y'all that)  So, when I see a show like Swamp People, I pay attention and get into it.  Mainly because it just makes me really happy that these people just let it all hang out. Listen, when I lived in Florida and Colorado and was having a bad day, I would just go walk around at Wal-Mart, take in the sights and think to myself: "Ang, God bigpuffyhearts you, because you are living a blessed life in comparison".  Well, there is no Wal-Mart here in SF, so I have to do something to replace that activity.  So, Swamp People is like the best pocketful of rainbows this side of a unicorn fart.  Also, I cannot understand a word they say and it is pure awesomeness.

SAAAAAYYYY WHAT?  I have no idea...Your guess is as good as mine.

Ummmmm....I am just so delighted by this guys outfit, that I really can't contain myself.  I am 100,674,260,486% positive that if Ziggy were a human, he would not only look and talk exactly like this guy, but he would dress like him too.  Do-Rag, cutoffjortoveralls, and a pistol in his pocket?  Yup, that's my bubb alright.

Oh yeah, and the Zombies from The Walking Dead are on this show too.

I meannnnnnn...What's not to love, really?  Swamp People is on every Thursday night on the History Channel.  I recommend grabbing your favorite coozie and a couple of tallboys of Bud Light, and get to feeling better about yourself.

"This Is The Swamp".

Oh, and for all my Florida Gator fans out there, only 6 months until kickoff.  Hopefully this holds you over:

Rad + Refined

Hi Friends.  I am so excited to share a new buddy with you.  I had the pleasure of being introduced to Jacqueline from Rad + Refined last week.  You know how I am always supportive of girls like us going out and making big things happen, and that is exactly what Jacqueline has done.  After styling in LA for years, she has curated some of her best vintage finds and leveraged the relationships she has built with brands to put together an amazing online store.  Looking for a sassy dress to step out on the town in?  Rad + Refined has you covered.  Maybe you are headed to Coachella and are looking for that perfectly worn in vintage band tee to wear with your feather headress...Don't worry, Rad + Refined has you covered there too.

I fell in LURVE with this Rory Becca hi-lo dress

One thing that I really loved about the Rad + Refined collection is all the different colors and patterns.  Everything is just so unique but not over the top so people aren't sideeyeing you because you look like bad wallpaper vommed all over your body.  Nope.  Not this stuff.  This is all young, vibrant, and perfectly classic enough to be an investment piece.

I mean...Really have you ever seen that much vintage Chanel?  All of this is available on the site.

I hope you all go check out Rad + Refined.  I promise, even if you just go to drool the impeccable styling, you will walk away inspired, I know I was.

Lassiez Bon Temp Rouler

I hope everyone had a fantabulous long Prez weekend...More importante though, it's Mardi Gras today, y'all.  So, let me just say: Lassiez bon temp rouler, and I hope you get the baby in your King Cake. To all you sinners,  I'll see you at midnight mass to get some ashes, because as we Catholics say, "there is a thin line between Fat Tuesday and Ash Wednesday.".  Meaning, no matter what cajunhellhole or slurricane sludge you find yourself in today, we all can go to confession tonight, receive our ashes, and fast through it together tomorrow.

Wearing: Pants: H&M.  Top: Forever21 via: Poshmark.  Shoes: RSVP.  Clutch: Vintage, gifted.

So, I am trying to decide what to give up for lent.  Last year I tried to give up Diet Coke and made it through about 4 days before I was about to hem someone up.  I don't think I will do that to humanity this year.  I am thinking that maybe I will give up pizza...After downing that pepperoni, mushroom, and jalapeno pie with The Mister last night, and the subsequent glutenintolerancemiserables today, it seems like a good idea.  It's either that or give up Facebook for 40 days.  I have a feeling though that if I give up Facebook for lent, I may never come back to that scourgeofsociety/CIAtool.  Unfortunately, in my line of work, it's necessary that I have it.  Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with Facebook?  I mean, I like that I can connect with my friends and family back home, but other than that, it seems like a time filler and subsequently I feel like it makes us all dumber and more surface level people.  I mean, when is the last time you had either a long phone conversation with a close friend or an in-depth online chat?  I feel like I am so guilty of this.  I mean, people know what's going on in my life from a very high altitude if they simply base it on what they see on a social network, but some of my closest friends, and my mom(s), know a lot more and, honestly, the in depth stuff is a lot more fun...So, maybe that is what I will do for lent...No Facebook, more video/gchats, phone conversations, and wine dates with my girlfriends and family.  I'll keep my Fan Page up-to-date, but other than that, radio silence from me to Zuck's little spies, and more Angallupinyourface.

Wish Me Luck.

Bravo, Old Navy

Good Morning Sweethearts.  I hope that everyone felt the love yesterday and you are recovering nicely from your champagne and chocolate induced slumber.  I don't know about y'all but I am seriously itching for a Spring shopping splurge.   I am really ready for some color in my wardrobe, and to be quite frank, when I was browsing the Old Navy site, I was super surprised by their offerings, so I thought I'd share with you a few of my favorite things they have out right now.  Just to note, this is NOT a sponsored post, just simply my opinions.
Bravo, Old Navy

What do you think?  Where else should I be looking this Spring for some sassy and affordable style?

I Wanna Dance With Somebody

Well kiddos.  We gave it the good 'ol college try around here and attempted to live tweet the Grammy's.  After watching what looked like Ellen in 30 years (Paul Mcartney), Chris Brown jump around with a bunch of flying squirrels and nearly knock himself out while doing a backflip, and seeing that RhiRhi just won a lifetime supply of monistat, The Mister got boredouttahisgourd and made me change the channel.  I have to tell you the best part of the whole night was when The Mister deadcereal turned to me and asked: "Is Stevie Wonder blind?" My sideeye about popped out of my eardrum on that. "Uhhhhh, no, he isn't blind, he just wears sunglasses like that because his future is so bright."  Listen, Stevie Wonder is the soundtrack to me and my Daddy's relationship, so, this question quite literally blew my mind. Regardless, I was already pretty over the Grammy's when they couldn't give our girl Whitney a proper tribute.  I mean, LL is fine and all, but I would prefer to not have to watch him lick his lips through talking about the greatest voice of all time.

Wearing: Jeans: Citizens of Humanity.  Shirt: J Crew.  Vest: Converted old jean jacket.  Clutch:  Something my mom scoured up.

So, we all know that THYMWYA is prettymuchbasically the haven for diva's and faghags.  Y'all know that Whitney is a diva...She is also part of the musical fiber of my generation.  Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, and even Celine Dion wouldn't be in existence if Whitney hadn't paved the way.  With that being said, here are my two favorite Whitney Houston moments.  Oh, and I should mention that when "The Bodyguard" came out, my mom listened to the tape until it wore out and broke.  Sooooooo, yeah...

And if this doesn't give you a full body chill at the 4:44 mark, you better go get your pulse checked

Here We Go Again

Good day, Sugarbabies.  Long time, no talk.  Sorry about that.  We got out of town for a few days, and since this was the first extended vacation that I have had since 2010, I decided I needed to turn off and tune out.  The problem with that is it seems to take more than 24 hours to kickstart my brain again.  I have never understood people saying they feel refreshed and revitalized after taking a few days off.  I always seem to be stuck in blahsville, USA afterwards.  Not gonna lie, I wish I had some Jay and Beyonce money so that I could be on a permanent vacation now.

Wearing: Jeans: JustUSA, Top: Greylin. Cardigan: Robert Rodriguez, via: Poshmark.  Pin: Kate Spade.  Shoes: Christian Louboutin.

Anywho, now that I am back to the grind, I will be posting regularly again.  Hopefully that is great news to all of y'all. With that being said, I am re-immersing myself into the interwebs, and I deadcereal cannot stop laughing at all of Jimmy Kimmel's video pranks lately.  The latest one was curated from Super Bowl, and I am pretty positive that if this went down in my house, it wouldn't be pretty.

You Betta Werq

Well guess what freaks and geeks.  My little blog has officially turned a year old. From the bottom of my preciouslittleheart, I want to thank you all for stopping by here and checking me and my ridiculousness out on the regs.  We have been through a lot around here in the past year.  We warred with Kim K and her shiteous shoes that nearly made me want to stab myself in the eyeballs.  We copyrighted "sparklegemawesomeness".  BAM! You made me super famous.  I taught you all what unicorn farts were made of and of course, I made you all honorary members of the SF chapter of the Britney Spears Sparkle Club.

Wearing: Dress: Betsey Johnson.  Shoes: Dolce Vita.  Shoe Jewelry: Blue Vanilla

So, I know the customary thing for bloggers to do when they hit this milestone is post a picture of a piece of cake from Pinterest.  Well, I don't like cake.  I hate it in fact. I don't like cupcakes either.  That crap hurts my stomach and icing creeps me out.  You know what I do like?  Drag Queens.  I love them, and they bigpuffyhearts me too!  So,  I called my hottragicmess of a fairy godmother RuPaul, and here is what she put together for us to celebrate one year together.

One year down, hopefully many more years full of Blue Ivy Carter and baby unicorns to follow.

Guuuuurl!
